Nancy Pelosi’s house vandalized with pig’s head and fake blood
SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (KRON) – Frustration over the lack of financial support spilled over into the streets of San Francisco on Friday.
President Nancy Pelosi’s home was vandalized with messages saying $ 2,000 was not even enough.
The vandals wasted no time with the New Year by leaving Pelosi’s house with fake blood and a pig’s head.
Some messages were also left for the speaker as it appears the vandals were upset by the government’s failed $ 2,000 stimulus checks.
“Cancel the rent!” And “We want it all!” were seen in big black letters in Pelosi’s garage.
“It’s a pretty loose way of expressing your opinion,” Audrey Carlson told NewsNation affiliate KRON.
Audrey Carlson has lived in this neighborhood for almost 40 years.
She has seen the President’s house become the site of several recent protests.
In September, people expressed their indignation on Pelosi going to a San Francisco barbershop that should have been closed under stay-at-home orders.
This latest backlash now covered in black garbage bags appears to relate to COVID-19 relief and the government has not handed out $ 2,000 stimulus checks.
Neighbors say vandalism is counterproductive.
“I don’t think that’s a useful way to go about it and it’s a terrible start to this new year where we hope for less anger and hate than we had to deal with last year,” Carlson mentioned.
The Speaker’s office did not respond to requests for comment.
San Francisco Police say they are currently investigating the vandalism.
At the moment, they have no suspects.
