Devender Singh said: “The Karnal District Administration has had talks with the agitators in a friendly atmosphere continuously for the past four days, following which a mutual agreement was reached between the two parties today. . Farmers are like our family… Farmers’ organizations demanded that the police charges at the Bastara (plaza) tollgate on August 28 be investigated and that the family of farmer Sushil Kajal be compensated appropriate. Four rounds of talks took place between the Karnal district administration and the leaders of the farmers’ unions. Late on Friday evening, an agreement was reached between the district administration and the farmers.
“It has been agreed to conduct a detailed investigation into the lathicharge case by a retired High Court judge in Punjab and Haryana. This investigation will be completed within a month, and during that time former SDM Ayush Sinha will remain on leave. Along with this, two family members of the deceased farmer will be given a job within a week at DC rate on a sanctioned position, ”Singh said.
Chaduni told reporters: “There were several rounds of talks with administrative officials and the government subsequently accepted the farmers’ request. The request to investigate the lathicharge case and to give jobs to the parents of the deceased farmer was granted. All organizations were involved in the discussions held in this regard, and everyone agreed to end the ongoing dharna in front of the Karnal mini-secretariat.
