Angry users switch to Telegram after WhatsApp
Millions of Indian users have already received an in-app notification from WhatsApp as part of an upcoming global rollout for over 2 billion users. After Whatsapp informed people about the new update, many affected users started asking about their data privacy. Outraged by the policies, many users expressed their anger through memes and said they were uninstalling WhatsApp and now switching to Telegram. Is Telegram a better option?
Users rated Telegram as a better option than Whatsapp when it comes to privacy and security. As Telegram offers end-to-end encryption for normal chats, it has an option called “secret chats” in which it claims that chats exchanged in this feature leave no traces on the company’s server. Plus, unlike WhatsApp, Telegram is cloud-based, which means all your text messages, media files, and documents are synced across all of your registered devices and with Telegram’s cloud storage.
You can also disconnect and connect as many times as you want from any number of devices simultaneously without losing data. Telegram users can send any type of file through Telegram up to 1.5 GB. WhatsApp, on the other hand, restricts video, image and document type files. You can communicate with anyone on telegram even if you do not have the contact number of the others

WhatsApp has been updated and is no longer secure because it shares our information with Facebook. It’s time to switch to another app for our data privacy and a lot if we have already accepted the update without reading.# WhatsappPrivacy #WhatsappNewPolicy pic.twitter.com/EZmoicXFdP
